Welcome to the Scum Villain Solstice Fanwork Exchange!

The Scum Villain Solstice Fanwork Exchange is a Secret Santa-style gift exchange. Each person who signs up will secretly create some type of fanwork for their recipient, and will receive a fanwork from a different participant.

Rules

1. To participate in the Scum Villain Solstice Fanwork Exchange, you MUST be at least age 18 or older.
   
   (You are welcome to request or create SFW or non-sexual fanworks, but since the source material itself is 18+, we are requiring all participants to be as well.)


2. Please show respect to all participants in the exchange and the mods. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. This includes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.


3. Please do not speak in a derogatory manner about kinks/tropes that others my enjoy.
   
   For example:
   "Coffeeshop AUs are stupid" = Not OK
   
   "Coffeeshop AUs aren't to my taste" = OK
   

   "People who write about a 17-year-old Luo Binghe having sex are evil" = Not OK
   
   "I prefer fanworks where Luo Binghe is 18 or above" = OK



4. The deadlines for this exchange have been carefully planned and considered. These are hard deadlines, and you will be expected to submit a completed fanwork by the final deadline.
   
   The final deadline will not be extended or changed except in extreme circumstances (ie if the mods become seriously ill or something.)


5. That being said, we know that life happens! We understand!
   
   If you find you cannot meet the deadline for any reason, all we ask is that you please, PLEASE tell us.
   
   I PROMISE if you tell us, we will not yell at you. We will not shame you. We will not judge you. You don't need to give a reason or make any excuse, just say, "I won't be able to make the deadline."
   
   There are many ways to contact us. So if you won't be able to finish your fanwork by the deadline, it's okay! We've all been there. We will understand.
   
   Please, we're begging, just let us know so we can get a pinch-hitter and make sure that your recipient isn't disappointed. You can still finish your gift as a treat on your own time, and your recipient will be extra happy instead of sad. It's a win-win!

Q. What type of fanworks are acceptable for the SV Solstice Fanwork Exchange?

A. Any kind of fanwork, as long as it relates to Scum Villain and isn't in a form that your recipient has asked not to receive.

Q. What are some examples of non-traditional fanworks?

A. Browsing through the Sundial Exchange for Guardian Fandom should give you some ideas. Basically, fic, art, podfics, vids, crafts, food, poetry, recipes, crochet, dolls, music, filk, games...if you create it, it counts! Traditional mediums, such as fanfiction or fanart, are just fine as well, of course!

Q. What is the minimum for the exchange?

A. The minimum is low!

• 500 words of fiction
• 5 minutes of audio
• 1 minute of video
• A clean lineart
• 1 minute of an original piece of music
• A well-lit picture of a finished craft product

Q. What is a 'treat'?

A. Sometimes people want to participate in making things for others, but don't wish to commit by signing up.

For participants who give permission, we will be making the "Request" portion of their form available. Non-participants and other participants can read the available forms and, if they are inspired, create an 'extra' fanwork, or a 'treat' for the participant.

There is no commitment required to create a treat. If you're uncertain about signing up, creating treats may be a more relaxing way to participate (though you won't receive a gift of your own unless you sign up.)

Q. Where can I sign up?
